Kent Junior Choirs celebrate Christmas in song

Junior singers from the Kent County Junior Singers (KCJS) and Kent County Junior Choir (KCJC), all aged between nine and 15 will celebrate Christmas in song with a festive concert at All Saints Church, Mill Street, Maidstone, on Saturday December 14.

Jo Fitzmaurice, who manages the choirs for Kent Music, said: “The concert celebrates Christmas through a variety of musical styles and songs with a festive theme. Our junior choirs give young people who love music the chance to develop their singing, make new friends and enjoy the experience of performing in inspiring venues.”

Tickets, priced at £8 (£5 concessions) are available on the door and the audience is invited to sing along with traditional carols in the beautiful surroundings of the 14th Century building.

The choirs meet once a month on a Saturday, 10am to 3.30pm, with rehearsals alternating between Rochester and Maidstone. High quality vocal training is given by experienced Kent Music conductors and vocal coaches. New members are welcome to audition in the New Year; details can be found at here or by calling Valerie Cordina on 01622 358402.
