Kent Youth Wind Orchestra and Kent Youth Choirs returned for the fourth time to the Colyer-Fergusson Concert Hall in Canterbury for their sell-out Spring Concert on Saturday 8 April.

Over 150 musicians aged 8 to 21 came together to perform an exciting programme of music including the Harry Potter Symphonic Suite by Williams and a medley from Disney’s Aladdin.

Phill Hyde, Kent Youth Wind Orchestra Manager said: “The Kent Youth Choirs and The Kent Youth Wind Orchestra have again produced a concert of the highest standard performed in the superb Colyer Ferguson Concert Hall. The concert that was sold out for the third consecutive year has become a celebration of the talented young musicians in Kent and for this concert we were very pleased to be joined by the composer Malcolm Binney. A very appreciative audience indeed.”

The orchestra, conducted by Graeme Vinall, was joined by singers from Kent Youth Choir, Kent Youth Singers, Kent County Junior Choir and Kent County Junior Singers. The choirs were managed by Liz Samson and conducted by Benjamin Rous, Karen Hill, Rose Martin and Andy Millest.
