Explore your musical universe this February half term

Can you imagine creating an entirely new piece of music, inspired by the boundless expanse of the cosmos? Join us at Orchestra ONE to do just that!

In just four days, you, with an orchestra of creative young musicians and our supportive tutors, will create a completely new suite of music inspired by the distant worlds and infinite horizons of outer space. Your final suite of music will be performed for friends and family at 5:30pm on the final day of the course.

This isn’t just about creating a few new tunes. It’s about expressing yourself, making new friends, and the pure fun of making music together. You’ll practice learning and composing by ear, ensemble playing and unusual orchestral combinations. Whatever your unique sound is, you’ll fit right in at Orchestra ONE.

Ready to blast off with a new project? Join O1 this February!

We welcome all musicians aged 11-18 who play any instrument or sing in any genre to join the ensemble.

We ask that beginners have been playing their instrument for at least one school term, but there is no restriction on instruments or preferred genres.

If you’re a vocalist, no prior experience is required!

It doesn’t matter whether you’re a classical harpist, a ska trumpeter, a spoken word poet, beatboxer, DJ, folk guitarist or something else entirely – you’re all welcome to add your special touch to the ensemble.

Every O1 project offers brand new experiences, and you don’t need to have taken part before to have a great experience.

Wherever possible, participants will need to bring their own instruments along to the project, including amplifiers, leads and instrument stands. Music stands will be provided for all.

Do let us know if you haven’t got your own supplies – we may be able to help out. Please get in touch by emailing countygroups@kent-music.com if this is the case.

How to Apply

The course costs £50 per person for the full four days.
