This session will cover the basics of primary music and instil confidence in a subject that can create a lot of fear.

This practical and informative session is designed with non specialists in mind, and aims to arm you with some great skills to take back to the classroom and try out with your students. In this two-hour session for KS2 you will look at musical warmups and starters, basic rhythm and pitch notation and how to use it with your students, quick composition and improvisation ideas, how to involve everyone in critical listening and how to expand a listening activity into composition, improvisation and performing activities.

This session is designed to support teachers, HLTAs and TAs of primary school students. It is aimed at non specialists but music specialists can gain new ideas and a skills brush up.

This session will be run by Liv Edwards; Senior Leader for the Hub at Kent Music.

Kent Music are proud to bring these events to music educators across the county for free! If you book a place please endeavour to attend or let us know if you can no longer make it as this may be preventing another person booking a space. There will be a charge of £15 to schools for non-attendance without 48hours notice.
